Thomas serves as the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Free Republic of Liberland, the world's newest country, and one founded on explicitly libertarian principles. Tom is a longtime libertarian activist in the U.S. and has long had a strong interest in the languages, culture and history of Europe, particularly Eastern Europe. He has worked in the German Bundestag and at the U.S. Embassy in Germany under the late Ambassador Richard Holbrooke, who went on to bring the former Yugoslavian republics together for the Dayton Accords. He has worked at U.S. Libertarian Party headquarters in Washington, D.C. and is one of the founders of the RLC. Tom is a travel consultant and is a professional translator. Among his passions are music, film, cycling and preserving the environment.
