Rainer Heufers is the Founder and President of the Center for Indonesian Policy Studies, an award-winning public policy think tank in Indonesia. He has spent more than three decades on public policy research in China and Southeast Asia and working on economic transition, regulatory environments for agriculture and rural development, trade and investment conditions, food security and education among other issues.

Rainer is also the Managing Director of SIAP Solutions Pte. Ltd, a Singapore-based consulting and advisory firm which provides strategic counsel and leadership training, public policy consulting and organizational and business development advice to companies established or expanding their presence in the Asian markets.

With deep knowledge from having worked and lived in the last three decades in China, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia, Rainer is currently based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
