RJ Burr, President. Mr. Burr, 47, was named President of Burrite in 2022, when his father stepped down from the position upon his retirement. Being a third-generation oilman, Mr. Burr has spent most of his life in the oil patch. In 1983, when 7, he was hooked on the industry when his father first took him to the oil fields in Luling, TX. Mr. Burr graduated high school in 1993 and, while attending Western Kentucky University (1993-1996), he began his career in the oil industry by funding his first partnership, less than three weeks after high school graduation.

Over the past 30 years, Mr. Burr has held a Series 7 General Securities License, Series 24 Principals License and a Series 63 Uniform State Law Securities License. From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Burr was a Registered Representative with Ridgemont Securities, Inc. in Bowling Green, Kentucky. From August 2004 to January 2013, he worked for Source Capital Group, Inc. in Bowling Green, Kentucky, first as a registered representative, then as a principal.
From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Burr was the Vice President of Sales/Public Relations for Argyle Energy, Inc. in Bowling Green, Kentucky. From June 2006 through December 2012, he held the position of Senior Vice President of Sales/Public Relations with Blue Ridge Group, Inc. in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Throughout his time in the oil and natural gas industry, Mr. Burr has been a part of funding more than 60 drilling programs representing over $400,000,000 in direct participation in the drilling of partnership well(s). With over 30 years of experience directly related to the oil and natural gas industry, Mr. Burr has a unique perspective of the industry and will utilize every tool at his disposal to identify prospects worthy of the Company’s participation.

Personally, Mr. Burr married the love of his life, Monica, in 1999 and they have four children together. Sons- Jaron (22) and Maddox (19) Daughters- Deca (16) and Story (13). With their 24th anniversary in August, the Burrs live in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
